90+ degrees today and tomorrow, but Tropical Storm Gordon will bring us relief

(WTHR) — It's still hot out there and it will stay that way for a few days.

Today is a good example of the next few days with overnight temperatures only falling into the lower 70s and afternoon temperatures reaching 90+ degrees.

Due to the higher humidity, it will feel like closer to 100 degrees each afternoon too. A couple of pop-up storms are possible each afternoon.

The better chance for storms will arrive on Thursday as a cold front moves our way. That front will bring scattered showers and storms, and eventually a drop in temperature.

Highs on Thursday and Friday will drop back into the lower 80s.

Rain moves up from the south thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Gordon. We could get pretty wet!

Gordon will reach landfall as a Category 1 storm near Biloxi, Mississippi tonight. Some of that leftover tropical moisture may move back our way later this week and into the weekend.
