90 degree temps and more chances for rain in your forecast


Today will likely start a string of 90 plus degree temperatures. Yesterday, Indianapolis recorded a high of 88°, the hottest day since September 20th, 2018, where temperatures climbed to 90°.

It will be a hot and humid day with mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s and low 90s across central Indiana. It will feel like the low to mid 90s, with the high humidity.

A pop-up storm will be possible late this afternoon into the evening. Heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds will be possible. It will be partly cloudy overnight with temperatures falling into the low 70s.

It will be hot and humid Friday with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s with an isolated storm possible.

Heat indices will be back into the low to mid 90s.

Daily chances of isolated thunderstorms will continue through Monday.

The next best chance of storms arrives on Tuesday of next week.
