From the 80s to the 30s

If summer is your favorite season, you've got a couple more days to enjoy it.

Highs today peak in the upper 80s with a heat index 90-95°. Mostly sunny, hot and humid.

There will only be a few more nights the grill cast calls for jacket-free weather. Mainly clear, falling only into the mid 70s by 10pm.

We wake up tomorrow morning with temps in the mid to upper 60s -- these are our average DAYTIME HIGHS for this time of year.

Tomorrow is the last summer-like day before big changes roll in Wednesday. Highs in the mid 80s, mostly to partly sunny.

We're tracking a cold front set to move in late Wednesday. Temperatures will still approach the mid to upper 70s in the afternoon before the cool air arrives.

Showers and a few storms will accompany the front Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Severe storms are not expected.

Rain exits by daybreak Thursday -- notice the temp swing. We'll be 20° cooler Thursday afternoon compared to Wednesday on the backside of the front.

Unseasonably cool air settles in for the extended forecast. We're looking at highs only in the upper 50s through the weekend. We start Saturday at 38°. Potentially even cooler to start next week.

Plan ahead for scattered showers on Sunday.
