INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Liquidation sales have begun at the 18 Marsh stores that were not sold to Kroger or Fresh Encounter.

Most stores are set to close July 8, or as soon as everything is gone. Starting Thursday, the 18 closing Marsh stores have begun discounting their inventory by 10- to 30 percent with American Greeting Cards 50 percent off. Those discounts will increase as July 8 gets closer, but Marsh has not said when or if they will vary by location.

Here are 5 things you need to know:

  • You don’t need your Marsh Fresh Idea card to get the discount
  • Gift cards will continue to be accepted until the stores close, so if you have one, use it now
  • There are no refunds or returns on items bought
  • Everything must go. Nothing will be restocked, including meat, produce and dairy products
  • A liquidator will oversee a separate sale of everything else, including cash registers, coolers, carts, shelving and anything else left in the store.
