Four suspects face charges in connection with the shooting deaths of two police officers in Mississippi.

The officers were gunned down Saturday during a traffic stop in Hattiesburg. Investigators say the suspects -- three men and a woman -- took off in a police cruiser, which was later found abandoned.

Police arrested them after a massive manhunt.

For now, officials aren't discussing a possible motive.

"We're not going to compromise the investigation," said Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree. "We know that he called for backup for a reason, and we're going to find it out."

This marks the first death of an officer in the line of duty in three decades for Hattiesburg.

The case has been turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
