2-year-old boy abducted in Virginia; AMBER Alert issued

FRONT ROYAL, Va. (WTHR) - Police in Virginia have issued an AMBER Alert for a 2-year-old boy they believe was abducted.

Police said Raequon Alan Ashby was taken around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday from an address in Front Royal, about 70 miles west of Washington D.C. He has brown hair, blue eyes, stands 1-foot-9-inches tall and weighs about 25 pounds.

He was wearing a light blue Paw Patrol shirt and red and black light-up Paw Patrol shoes when he was abducted.

Police believe Raequon was taken by Jashar Raequon Ashby, a 5-foot-10-inch, 130 pound man with black hair and brown eyes.

Deputies recovered the man's car, but it had been abandoned.

Police believe the child is in extreme danger.
