2 teens injured in shooting on city's east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating after two teenagers were shot on the east side Saturday afternoon.

It happened just after 3:15 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of North Eaton Avenue.

When officers arrived, they found a male and female suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims was 15 years old and the other was 16.

Both were transported to Eskenazi Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say a suspect has been taken into custody.

The investigation is still ongoing. No other information was available.
