13 Investigates' Sandra Chapman to be keynote speaker at Ball State event

MUNCIE, Ind. (WTHR) – 13 Investigates reporter and Ball State alumna Sandra Chapman will be the keynote speaker at the university's 2019 Sunshine Week activities.

During the event, "Digging for the Truth," Chapman will share her experiences in the multi-year investigation into high childhood cancer rates in Johnson County which gained national attention and sparked the government to take action.

Chapman will be joined by Stacie Davidson and Kari Rhinehart, two Johnson County residents, who have first-hand experience with the investigation into environmental contamination and concerns about childhood cancer.

13 INVESTIGATES: Desperate for Answers

Since joining Eyewitness News in December of 2003, Chapman has earned national, regional, and state awards for her reporting.

Chapman will be speaking at Ball State at 7 p.m. on March 12, 2019 at the University's Alumni Center.

The event is free and open to the public. No tickets or RSVPs are required.
