1 dead in collision with Amtrak train

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (WTHR) — The Hendricks County Coroner’s Office confirmed one person died when a pickup truck was struck by an Amtrak train late Saturday night.

The collision happened just after 11:00 p.m on Saturday night, just south of U.S. 136 on Hendricks County 1000 East.

There are no reports of injuries from the train and the train did not leave the tracks.

The person who died in the pickup that was struck has not been identified.
