The weather pattern turns much colder, with snow chances starting Wednesday night. The SkyTrak13 Weather Team is tracking a fast moving weather system that will bring the chance for light snow to central Indiana late Wednesday into early Thursday. Accumulations will be minor, but up to an inch will be possible. This might be just enough for a few slick roads during the Thursday morning drive.
There will be some snow showers possible the rest of Thursday and Friday. The big accumulating snow will be near Lake Michigan, as lake effect snow will be in the big story for the end of the week.
Locally the big story will be the cold. We are forecasting highs in the 20s and lows in the teens on Thursday and Friday. Wind chills or feels like temperatures will be in the single digits on Friday.
The weekend will start dry but end with rain and snow. We will keep you updated on the timing and how much.
