Daniels names new heads for FSSA, BMV, business

Indianapolis - Gov. Mitch Daniels has named state social services chief Mitch Roob to take over Indiana's economic development efforts in changes at three state agencies.

The governor's office said Thursday that Roob is leaving his position as secretary of the Family and Social Services Administration and will become secretary of commerce and CEO of the Indiana Economic Development Corp. on Jan. 5.

Deputy FSSA secretary and chief of staff Anne Waltermann Murphy will take over that agency at the same time.

Andy Miller will move from the state's Office of Disaster Recovery to become the new commissioner at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

Current Commerce Secretary Nate Feltman and current BMV Commissioner Ron Stiver are leaving the administration.
