Record high temperatures set in Indiana

Unusually warm weather for January is setting records in Indiana.

The National Weather Service says that in South Bend a record high of 60 degrees for Jan. 7 was set at 3:30 a.m. The old record of 57 was set in 1963. Monday's high in South Bend was forecast to be 63 degrees.

Record high temperatures were set in South Bend on Sunday at 58 degrees and in Indianapolis at 63 degrees. Sunday's record in Indianapolis was set at 10:08 p.m.

Forecasters say temperatures will remain in the 60s across Indiana on Monday, with rain and thunderstorms moving into the state Tuesday.
