In the State of Indiana the law recognizes the importance of the work of plumbers and requires them to be licensed. The plumbing license number must be displayed in the plumber’s office, on the business card, on the vehicle and in all forms of advertising. Make sure you ask for the plumber’s license number.
”It is hereby declared to be the policy of the State of Indiana that, in order to safeguard the life, health, and public welfare of its citizens, the business of plumbing construction and improvements is a matter affecting the public interest, and any person engaging in the business as here defined should be required to establish his competency and qualifications to be licensed as herein provided.” IC 25-28.5-1
