FISHERS, Ind. -

The Fishers Fire Department is holding a fundraiser to put trauma kits in more than 1,000 Hamilton County classrooms.

The "Putt-ing Out the Fire" event will be held September 13 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Ben and Ari's at 13875 Trade Center Drive in Fishers. The event will include miniature golf, a dunk tank and kids area, as well as lunch served by Texas Roadhouse.

The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money to put small trauma kits in every classroom in the Hamilton Southeastern school district. The kits, which will cost an estimated $65,000, are designed for traumatic injuries and to allow those at the scene to administer first aid until medics can arrive.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at this website or at the door. Adult tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets for children 12 and under are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.

All proceeds will go toward the purchase of the trauma kits.
