IU Health workers take Blue Pledge to stand against violence

Posted: Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS - Medical staff members at IU Health Methodist Hospital's Level I Trauma Center gathered today to take The Blue Pledge to support the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and to stand against violent crime in the community.

“As Indiana’s largest trauma center, we see the horrific results of violent crime on a daily basis,” said Dr. Jamie Coleman, an IU Health trauma surgeon. “We’re trained to treat the worst kinds of traumatic injuries here, but we hope that by supporting this community-wide effort, we can help to prevent such tragic events from happening in the first place. Accidents happen, but violence is 100 percent preventable.”

Post your pledge to WTHR's Facebook page.

I PLEDGE TO:
  • Take a Stand. Make the call. If I see suspicious activity, call 9-1-1.
  • Call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS if I see non-emergency gang or drug activity
