We are watching Doppler 13 radar this morning. There is a slight risk of severe weather south of I-70 but everyone has a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms today. For the latest on the weather situation, go to the weather section of this website.

SILVER ALERT:

A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a Lawrence man who disappeared last night. Anthony Johnson is a 62-year old black man, 5'5 , 175 lbs. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be in danger and in need of medical attention. Authorities think he is driving a 2014, white, 4 door Dodge Caliber with Indiana License plate D650EV. Please call police if you see him.

PAWN SHOP BREAK-IN:

Police are still searching for one of the two men who they believe broke into an Indianapolis pawn shop and stole guns. Police were responding to an alarm at the Dock Brothers Pawn shop on Meridian Street between 24th and 25th Streets when they spotted the suspects. Police say the men used a stolen vehicle to ram the front of the building to get in. Officers chased the suspects for a couple blocks before crashing. They ran off, but officers have arrested one man. They are still looking for the other. Follow the latest on this story throughout the morning.

ROBBER ATTACKS ELDERLY MAN AND STEALS CAR:

An elderly man is recovering this morning after being assaulted and robbed on the city's east side. Police say he pulled into this Shell gas station shortly after 2:00am. As he was getting ready to leave, a man approached him, got in the car with him and forced the elderly man to drive. Just a couple blocks away he suspect made the driver get out of the car. There was a struggle and police say the suspect grabbed the man by the neck and punched him in the top of the head cutting him. The suspect took off with the man's wallet and car. The man walked a couple more blocks along Washington to this Speedway at State Ave. where he called police. Police are still looking for that robber this morning. DAYCARE WORKER SENTENCING:

The woman convicted of criminal charges in the death of a 5-month-old boy faces sentencing today. Kirsten Phillips was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and reckless homicide charges in the January 2013 death of Conor Tilson. Tilson died in the unlicensed daycare Phillips and her mother Stacey Cox ran out of their house. Read more about the history of this case.
