Firework shows, festivals, you name it! It's all happening around town today in celebration of the Fourth of July.
Georgia Street will host it's Indypendence Day Street Fest and the Concert for Cancer. This is the second year for the event here. It was started by local doctor and cancer survivor Scott Lintner. It starts at one and goes to ten here along the plaza. They're expecting more than 7000. General admission is $20, part of which goes to fund cancer-related charities.
Then the Donato's Downtown Freedom Blast Fireworks display from Region's Bank Tower starts at 10 PM. This is the largest fireworks display in the state and an added bonus--the show is synchronized to great patriotic tunes on several radio stations including 97.1 HANK FM and B105.7.
