Happy Monday! We're waking up to a muggy morning with temps in the 70's across Central Indiana. Today could be our first 90 degree day of the year! So far this year, we have not had a 90 degree day. Our average first 90 degree day is June 18th.
Dew points will remain high today and tomorrow, with a gradual ease later in the week. What does this mean? Comfortable less humid days are on the way. Not today though! Highs will top out close to 90 today with a 20% chance of an isolated shower or storm.
Storm chances increase tonight. Central Indiana is under a "slight" risk for severe storms tonight. Damaging wind and hail are the top concerns. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
There are isolated storm chances today, but it's after 10pm tonight that a line of showers and storms is possible.
Tonight temps only drop to the mid 70's as we track those showers and storms.
Tomorrow, highs top out in the mid 80's with an isolated chance of a shower or storm. In the 7 day forecast, much cooler less humid air arrives this week. Thursday's high is in the 70's, and as of right now the fourth of July will be dry and mild with a high just shy of 80!
