The new 2015 Fiat Abarth will soon be available at McLoughlin Fiat in Portland with a new automatic transmission.
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) June 30, 2014
McLoughlin Fiat will soon have the performance-focused Fiat Abarth and Abarth Cabrio with an optional automatic transmission for the 2015 model year.
Production for the optional new automatic transmission recently began for Abarth customers who might refrain from their Fiat purchase due to the manual transmission equipped inside all Abarth models. The availability of this new transmission widens the consumer base for the Fiat Abarth and Abarth Cabrio everywhere.
The Abarths optional six-speed automatic transmission for the 2015 model year is paired with the 1.4-liter Multi-Air Turbo engine under the hood. This performance engine unleashes up to 183 lbs-ft. of torque and 157 horsepower for drivers to control on the road.
We have been waiting for this production to begin and arrive in our inventory for our customers who are eager to own a Fiat Abarth, but have been hesitant due to its all-manual manufacturing, said Emily Taylor, McLoughlin Fiats Customer Loyalty Manager. Were very pleased to see the automatic transmission will still stay true to the performance-focused nature of these models to deliver the driving experience our customers love.
The Abarth and Abarth Cabrio stand out from the Fiat lineup due to their high-performance nature and track-ready attitude. To maintain this high standard, the automatic transmission models have been reinforced with additional clutch plates and enhanced heat treatment capacity to withstand higher torque capability.
The automatic transmission will also give drivers the option to activate sport mode. This driving option delivers a more engaged driving experience with special features that include fuel-cut upshifts, brake-assist downshifts, corner gear hold, fast-off gear hold, rev-matching downshifts and a more forceful pedal map.
The Abarth and Abarth Cabrio arent the only Fiat models getting a transmission makeover. Production for the 2015 Fiat 500 Turbo with an optional automatic transmission has also commenced. Both models will soon be available at McLoughlin Fiat in Portland, Oregon with their new transmission option.
