GREENFIELD, Ind. -

A body found Thursday morning was positively identified Saturday as Jody Scroggins, 56, who was reported missing on June 24th. The body was located a short distance from the mobile home park where Scroggins was reportedly last seen. 

An autopsy did not reveal any evidence of foul play.  The exact cause of death has not been determined however toxicology reports are still pending.

 A Silver Alert is in effect for a missing Greenfield man believed to be in danger.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says 56-year-old Jody Eugene Scroggins went missing from Philly Estates Mobile Home Park at 3303 W US 40 in Greenfield late Monday night. That's when Scroggins last spoke with family members.

Tuesday morning, Scroggins' family found his front door standing open and all of his personal property left behind.

Scroggins is legally blind and has been treated for seizures in the past.

He's described as a white male, 6'0" and 180 lbs. with brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes. Police don't have a description of his clothing, but they say he may have left his home without shoes.
