This afternoon highs will top out in the upper 80s with heat indices in the 90s.
In our hour by hour forecast as we go into the afternoon today’s highs reach the upper 80s and shower and thunderstorm chances increase into the afternoon and evening.
FutureTrak13 shows isolated showers and storms develop after 1pm, with more activity developing for the evening, overnight and tomorrow.
Tonight a few isolated storms may be strong.
So far for the month of June Indy has had just shy of 5” of rain.
Over the next couple of days Central Indiana could pick up 1-2” of rain.
Scattered showers and storms are likely Tuesday, some storms could be strong to severe.
On FutureTrak13 you can see pockets of heavy rain, especially as we go into the afternoon and evening.
Multiple chances of rain remain in the 7 day forecast along with temps in the 80s.
