The Center Grove High School Trojans are showing local kids with special needs what it's really like to play underneath the Friday night lights.
The football team welcomed kids from CampAbility, a program that serves children ages 4 to 11 across the state. Players led campers as they practiced drills, tried on equipment and met the team mascot.
"It's really not about football at all," explained Coach Eric Moore. "It's about letting these kids get outside and be active."
"These events bring our team together. They show that we really do love our community and the kids and love everybody," added player Max Norris.
This is Center Grove's second year hosting the event.
