FAMILY FEUD LEADS TO DEADLY SHOOTING:

Police got called out to the 3100 block of South McClure Street on the Southwest side of town. When they arrived on the scene they found a man dead in the driveway of the home. Police say that man had been in an argument with his girlfriend's family. He left the home, but police say he came back armed with a baseball bat and several friends for backup. Police say he attacked his girlfriend's mother with the bat, so her husband started shooting. The boyfriend's friends in the car started shooting back. When the gunfight ended, the boyfriend was dead and the mom was critically injured. A short time later, police received word that a third person showed up at the hospital with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and head. Police believe he was somehow involved in this shooting as well.

WEEKEND BAR SHOOTING:

Police in Kokomo are investigating a Sunday morning shooting outside a Kokomo bar that left four men shot. One of them, 31-year-old Cristobal Guerroro of Marion, is in critical condition. Officers responded to reports of gunshots being fired and when they arrived they saw people running from the bar. Police were looking for one suspect who remains at large. The investigation is continuing.

IRAQ SITUATION:

Sunni extremist group that splintered from al-Qaida has captured another northern Iraqi town in a blitz that started last week. The militants overran the town of Tal Afar today. Last week it captured Tikrit and Mosul, Iraq's second largest city. As a precaution, the U.S. State Department has repositioned some staffers at its massive embassy in Baghdad to safer locations in Iraq and in Jordan. About 100 troops, Marines and Army, will supplement the facility's security.

THE HEAT IS ON:

Look for a return to heat and humidity today. Temperatures will be above average all week and with some sunshine today, we'll also have a chance for thunderstorms. Temperatures will race into the 90s both tomorrow and Wednesday as our days look more like Mid-July rather than Mid-June.

THE HEAT IS OUT:

The San Antonio Spurs have won their fifth NBA championship in 16 seasons by whipping Miami 104-87 in Game 5, ending the Heat's two-year reign.
