LEBANON, Ind. -

One person was killed and another critically wounded in a crash in Boone County.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on SR 267 near Love's Truck Stop in Lebanon. One person was killed in the two-vehicle crash, one is in critical condition and two are in stable condition.

Police say a grandmother was killed when her SUV was struck at the intersection of Indianapolis Road and SR 267. The woman was traveling east on Indianapolis Road, the other driver was driving south on SR 267.

The force of the collision was enough to turn the woman's SUV over. Two of her passengers were taken to St. Vincent, one in critical condition, the other is in stable condition. Two people in the other SUV were taken to Hendricks Regional Hospital in fair condition.

The crash is the second of the day at the same intersection, police said. No one was seriously injured in the earlier crash.

"We get a lot of traffic. Traffic's increasing. People really need to pay attention and focus on the roadway," said Whitestown Police Lt. Ed Savage.

Police have not yet determined who was at fault in either accident.
