INDIANAPOLIS - The Pacers fell to the Miami Heat 87-83 in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals Tuesday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The rivals played a much closer game Tuesday than in Game 1. The lead switched hands dozens of times with Lance Stephenson giving a great game. He led the team in points and assists with 25 and 7 respectively. Roy Hibbert had the most boards with 13.

LeBron James scored six straight points to spark a decisive 12-2 run to leave the Eastern Conference finals tied at a game apiece. Miami trailed 73-69 with 7:19 left. But James hit a 3-pointer, and then scored the first six points in the rally and the Heat defense gave up only eight points over the final five minutes.James had 12 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter. Dwyane Wade had 23 points, 13 in the first half when the Heat desperately needed them to stay close.

Game 3 is Saturday in Miami.

Indiana entered the game coming off a strong Game 1 win over the two-time defending NBA champions, winning on their home court 107-96. Thanks in part to 24 points from Paul George and 19 from David West, the Pacers led the entire game. The game was only the Heat's second loss in their last 10 playoff games.
