The Colts finished the draft the same they opened it - by selecting an offensive linemen.
Indianapolis chose Georgia State's Ulrick John, a 6-foot-6, 288-pound offensive tackle in the seventh round, No. 232 overall. He was the fifth and final pick this weekend for the Colts.
The biggest surprise was that general manager Ryan Grigson did not take a safety.
But he did address some other needs, particularly on offense. After having no picks on Thursday, the Colts took Jake Mewhort, a versatile offensive lineman from Ohio State, in the second round Friday. Then he selected receiver Donte Moncrief from Mississippi in the third round.
On Saturday, he took Ball State defensive end Jonathan Newsome in the fifth round and linebacker Andrew Jackson in the sixth before selecting John.
