Sky tops Fever 73-66 in first game of WNBA tourney

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -
Jamierra Faulkner had 11 points, Sequoia Holmes added 10 and the Chicago Sky beat the Indiana Fever 73-66 on Friday night in the first game of the WNBA preseason tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
Karima Christmas led Indiana with 16 points.
The matchup tipped off the league's first preseason tournament played at facility located near Walt Disney World.
Defending WNBA champion Minnesota plays conference rival Phoenix in the second game. The winners and losers from each game play each other Sunday.
The tournament is being held in conjunction with a girls' AAU event and has included practices, clinics and autograph sessions with WNBA players and coaches. It all part of the lead-up to the start of the league's 18th season May 16.
