Indiana high school sports officials will wait to make a decision that could change the state basketball tournament.
This year, Arsenal Tech was one of four Indiana high schools to win a state title. But a new proposal would consolidate those four classes into three. Supporters say it would level the competition while opponents say it will lead to more confusion.
The IHSAA was set to vote Monday, but instead decided to form a committee to work on specifics of the plan. That committee reports back in October.
