Political reporter Kevin Rader talked with our Indiana Insiders about the race.
"When you're in Hamilton County, when you're in Boone County, it's like, when you're in Lake County - the Democrat primary is the race. It's brand new. There's no history. There's no incumbent," said Republican analyst Peter Rusthoven on Indian Insiders with Kevin Rader.
"For a party that likes smaller government, they've got six people running to manage government, so that's surprising to me," countered Democratic analyst Robin Winston. "It used to be that Marion County a bastion of Republican rule. You mind my words - some day, another Democrat sitting on this set will be talking about Fishers and Carmel being competitive for our party."
