Fire crews battle Fortville house fire for more than 4 hours

FORTVILLE, INDIANA - Several fire departments in Hancock and Madison Counties are fighting a huge house fire that is still burning four hours after it started.  Crews were called to the scene about 10:36 p.m. Friday. 

One person was treated at the scene but was not transported.  Officials speaking to Eyewitness News were unsure if the person who was injured was a civilian or firefighter.

The house is located in the area of State Road 13 and Fall Creek Drive in Madison County

Several fire departments helped fight the blaze, including Fortville, Pendleton, Lapel, Ingalls, Green Township, McCordsville, and Adams Township.

Officials say fire crews had been called to the same location about 7:30 p.m. on a flu fire.
