The weekend is here and so is the official start of the all of the Indy 500 activities. It will be mostly cloudy overnight, with lows in the middle and upper 40s. There is the chance for a stray shower from about 3am to 8am. If you are participating the 500 Festival Mini Marathon, there will be a few sprinkles possible through about 7am. The rest of the race will be dry. Temperatures will climb from the upper 40s to near 60 degrees by 11am.
The rest of Saturday will be mostly sunny, breezy (winds W 10-20) and milder. Forecast highs are in the range of 65-70 degrees.
There is another weak weather system forecast to move across the northern part of the state on Sunday. There will be a few showers possible on Sunday from about 10am - 3pm and mainly north. Don't cancel any outdoor plans and we will keep you updated on these slight rain chances this weekend. Highs on Sunday will also be in the range of 65-70 degrees.
A warm-up arrives next week, with highs in the 80s by Wednesday.
