Victim in Indianapolis south side crash identified

INDIANAPOLIS - One person was killed in a crash at State Road 37 and Southport Road on the Indianapolis south side Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving a silver Mercedes ML430 northbound on SR 37 when he rear-ended a box truck that was stopped at the red light. 

The victim was identified as 38-year-old Jeremy Stout. He died from multiple blunt force injuries.
The box truck was owned by Grooms Tire Recycling. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Another vehicle was also involved in the crash. The 54-year-old driver and his 79-year-old passenger were taken to Community South Hospital in good condition.
