Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS - A mom, dad and young child are shaken up after two armed intruders broke into their Indianapolis west side home at around 3:00 am Friday morning.

Police are investigating this as a burglary. Shots were fired inside the home on the 3600 Block of Lowry Road, which is near 36th and Georgetown Rd. No one was hurt.

At least one of the men fired several shots during the break-in. Inside was a two-year-old boy and his parents.

Eyewitness News has learned from police records on this case that during their investigation officers recovered marijuana in a jar, suspected cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. There is no word on who those items belonged to at this time.

The gunmen left the home before officers arrived on the scene.

Evidence technicians spent all morning dusting for fingerprints. The family told officers they do not recognize the men who broke into their home.

Police do not have a description of the armed intruders.
