Man dies after Indianapolis northwest side shooting

INDIANAPOLIS - A man who was critically injured in a shooting on the Indianapolis northwest side Thursday afternoon has died from his injuries.

The victim was identified as 32-year-old Randall Parker of Indianapolis. Officers found him outside an apartment building with multiple gunshot wounds.

Parker was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in alert but critical condition. He died from his injuries early Friday.

It happened at 4505 Rosewood Commons Way at around 1:00 pm Thursday.

Detectives have not yet determined any suspect information, but they believe a small compact vehicle gray in color was seen leaving the scene after the shooting had occurred.

Police do not believe this is a random act and they say the victim may have been targeted.
