Olympian and two-time World Champion Lolo Jones will be part of the first stop of the American Track League series in Bloomington on Friday May 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Billy Hayes Track on the campus of Indiana University.
Olympic Bronze Medalist and IU alum Derek Drouin will compete in the high jump. Other former IU track & field athletes competing including 11-time All-American and NCAA Champion, Andy Bayer and 2010 NCAA runner-up in the 800m Molly Beckwith-Ludlow.
Admission to the meet is free and will also feature a 40-yard dash that is open to anyone. The top non-elite qualifier will get to run in the 100-meter dash against Olympians for a chance at a cash prize of up to $1,000.
Events being contested for the men will be: 100m, 400m, 1500m, 3000m steeplechase, high jump and pole vault. For the women the events will be: 400m, 800m, 100m hurdles and 400m hurdles.
