5 Things you need to know Wednesday morning

FUNERAL HELD TODAY FOR IMPD OFFICER:

Today an Indianapolis Police officer will be laid to rest. IMPD Officer Kimberlee Carmack died last week in a murder-suicide. Here funeral will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral in Downtown Indianapolis. Then a procession will take her body to Crown Hill Cemetery to be buried.

MAN BOUND AND MURDERED ON INDY'S NORTH SIDE:

Police, found a man bound and shot to death in an alley near 34th and Clifton Streets. That is just a few blocks west of Crown Hill Cemetery. Police have not identified him, and have not named any suspects. Witnesses report seeing a "Street Racer" type car leaving the area before police arrived. The car was orange with a loud muffler. COLD MORNING, BUT WARMING UP:

It is cold outside this morning with many of you experiencing temps in the 30s. But we will reach a high of around 62 today with plenty of sunshine. Tomorrow, highs will be in the low 70s. A line of showers and storms is forecast to move through central Indiana late Thursday through early Friday.

PACERS WIN GAME 2:

The Pacers will head back to practice this afternoon with a bit of that Gold Swagger back. They tied the playoff series with the Atlanta Hawks last night. The Pacers beat Atlanta 101-85. Game 3 is tomorrow night in Atlanta.

INDY MAN ADVANCES IN 'THE VOICE' COMPETITION:

Indy's Josh Kaufman remains a contestant on 'The Voice' this morning. He was the first contestant chosen by America last night, to advance to the next round of NBCs hit show. His rendition of Stay With Me, sky-rocketed the I-Tunes list in the top 5! Now he moves on the the Top 10, and will sing again next Monday.
