EVANSTON, Ill. -

If there was ever a reason to stop pressing the snooze button, this is it.

Researchers at Northwestern University looked at people who got up and out early in the morning as compared to those who headed out later in the day.

They found people who got out into the morning light had a lower body mass index than someone who gets out after noon.

Researchers are now looking into how light affects our metabolism.
