A Flood Warning is in effect for Central Indiana until 3pm.
If that expires, a Flood Watch will then continue until Friday morning. Since midnight and through 11am Indy has picked up 1.25″ of rain. The record rainfall for today's date is 1.92″ from 1892.
Showers and thunderstorms will come to a bit of a lull for the afternoon, and temps should rebound into the upper 50s/low 60s. Keep in mind a shower or thunderstorm is still possible at any time.
Central Indiana is still under a slight risk for severe storms. The best chance for severe weather will be tonight into the early hours of Friday morning. Damaging wind, isolated tornadoes, and large hail are all threats. Flooding will continue to be a threat as well with 2-4″ of rain by Friday at noon.
Friday temps will fall, the rain comes to an end, and we will start to dry out as early as midday.
The weekend is cool and mostly sunny.
