IMPD identifies three killed in Sunday night shooting on Indianapolis east side

INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis Metro Police have identified three people who were killed Sunday night on the city's east side.

James Czajkowski, Stephen Herold, and Martha Zuluaga all died from gunshot wounds, and their deaths have been ruled homicides, according to the Marion County coroner.

Officers found their bodies Sunday night at the Marina Apartments in the 9500 block of Shoreland Ct. near E. 21st and Post Road.

So far there have been no arrests in the case.

When IMPD officers arrived to Shoreland Court Sunday night, they found one man outside on the ground. He had been shot at least once and died at the scene.

Officers put up crime scene tape and went inside the apartment only to find two more people shot - a man and a woman. Paramedics pronounced them dead at the scene, too.

As police investigated the deadly shootings, officers reportedly found evidence of drug activity inside the house. That gives them reason to believe the shooter may have known the victims.

As part of the investigation, police had a van towed to the Crime Lab to examine for more evidence.
