The NFL owners meetings start on Monday in Orlando, Fla., and Eyewitness Sports is there to cover it for you.
Colts Owner Jim Irsay will not be there but his daughter is standing in. Carlie Irsay Gordon is the oldest of Jimmy's three daughters. She knows the football business. Carlie has worked in the front office for many years in various capacities and taken part in the NFL meetings the past 10 years.
We don't expect her to make any statements to the media. Coach Pagano and General Manager Ryan Grigson are expected to be here.
It will be interesting to see what the other owners have to say about Irsay's situation. Do they feel Irsay should be fined or suspended? Should he have to take drug tests in order to keep running the team? Commissioner Roger Goodell will also address the situation.
Leaders have some big decisions to make on game day matters, too. There are 13 proposed rules changes ranging from improving instant replay and banning racial slurs to changing extra points and kickoffs.
The next three days should be very interesting.
