One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a woman drove her car into a building on Allisonville Road Friday morning.

It happened at a strip mall in the 5100 block of Allisonville Road at around 11:30 am. The 61-year-old driver told police she was on her way to Murphy's to have lunch when she hit the gas instead of the brake. Her 2005 Pontiac Grand Am struck the building, damaging the door frame of a business.

A 51-year-old woman who was inside the Asabella Boutique was taken to Community East Hospital to be treated for minor pain. Another woman, 71, declined medical treatment at the scene. The driver of the car was checked at the scene and released.

The IFD Collapse Rescue Team assisted with temporary shoring and stability of the damaged structure.
