The week is off to a dry and mild start and Tuesday will be even warmer. Forecast highs are in the 60s for most of central Indiana on Tuesday. The daylight hours on Tuesday will be dry.
We are tracking a developing storm system that will bring rain to central Indiana Tuesday night. As colder air wraps into this system, the rain will change to snow Wednesday morning. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the far northern third of Indiana. In our area this includes: Peru, LoagansportRight now we are forecasting an inch or 2 for central Indiana. The totals will be an inch or less south, but may reach 2-4 inches from near Lafayette to Kokomo to Marion. Wednesday will be a much colder day with temperatures falling into the 20s. It will also be very windy. With winds NW 20-30 mph, visibility might be reduced, when the snow is falling.
The snow ends by Wednesday afternoon. Thursday will be a cold day, with highs in the 30s but we rebound back into the 50s for Friday and Saturday.
