Junior guard Sydney Hall scored 17 and Tyasha Harris added 14 to lead Heritage Christian to a 64-61 victory over Fort Wayne Canterbury in the Class 2A state title game Saturday.
Taylor Hall came off the bench to add 12 points for the Eagles (27-1).
The back-and-forth battle took its last swing with 4:32 to play in the third quarter when Harris, who had a game-high seven assists, found an open Taylor Hall for the jumper and the Eagles took a 31-29 led, which they never lost.
Sydney Hall drilled a 3-pointer from the left wing early in the fourth quarter to stretch the lead to nine, the Eagles' largest.
Senior Kindell Fincher led Canterbury (20-5) with 24 points and 16 rebounds, her second double-double in a state final game.
