GREENSBURG, Ind. -

A funeral service was held this morning for a 14-year-old boy killed by his father.

Police found Tyler Hall and his father Gregory dead in a car at a Greensburg park last week.

Investigators say the father picked the teen up from school last Tuesday, but they still don't know why he killed the 8th grader before turning the gun on himself.

The funeral was held Tuesday morning at church in Greensburg.

News of Tyler's violent death came as a shock to his friends.

"We had two classes together," said Kyleigh Parker, an eighth grader at Greensburg Junior High School. She spoke to Eyewitness News last week. "The first class that I went to today, I look at his chair and started crying and then went to the counselor's office and we all just got there. There was a bunch of us that went," Parker said.

Tyler lived with his mother and police say his father picked him up after school Tuesday. Gregory Hall is listed as living with extended family about 30 minutes away, near Rushville.
