A woman was pulled from her car as it hung off the 16th Street bridge over the White River early Thursday morning.
Emergency crews responding to the scene found a silver sedan teetering on the south edge of the bridge shortly after 4:30 a.m. with the woman inside, unconscious. The front wheels of the car were hanging over the bridge deck, and the metal railing was gone.
The female driver was taken to a local hospital, but there's no word yet on her condition.
16th Street is back open this morning, as a repair crew works to restore the railing.
