5 THINGS TO KNOW THIS MORNING

Updated:
INDIANAPOLIS -

LIGHT SNOW THIS MORNING:

Watch out for some slick roads this morning. Light snow is moving through central Indiana. We are starting the day with temperatures in the teens. And the unseasonably cold temperatures will last for the next 2 weeks.

QUADRUPLE MURDER ARREST:

Charges may be filed today against four people arrested in connection with the murders of two men and two women in Indianapolis this week. Police think the suspects were after drugs and money. This morning at 6:00AM we are live with more on the suspects and the victims.

CHAMBER RECOMMENDS IPS CUTBACKS:

A new study says IPS needs to downsize, in order to cut it's $30 million budget deficit. The Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce did a study that they say shows some schools are only half-full. The study also recommends ways to save money on technology, busing and utilities. You can read the report by going to the "hot topics" page at wthr.com.

SNOW MAKE-UP DAYS:

IPS will vote tonight on a plan to add two snow make up days to the school calendar. And Hamilton Southeastern voted last night to extend the school day itself from March until the end of the year. We will have more on those plans in a live report on Sunrise at 6:30.

NEW PACERS:

Pacers fans will get their first look at new players when the Lakers come to Bankers Life Fieldhouse tonight. Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen will join the team for tonight's 7:00PM Game.
