Metro police are investigating the report of a rape on the Butler University campus.
Butler University Police Chief Benjamin Hunter posted a warning on the school's website about the investigation earlier this week. A report of a forcible rape was made to police Sunday afternoon (February 16). The victim of the alleged crime says it took place around 3 a.m. Sunday in a campus residence hall.
The victim also told police of another possible sexual assault, where the suspect also may have used force. That incident had not previously been reported to police.
Hunter says the suspect has been identified and his department is assisting IMPD with the investigation.
