Just after 11pm Wednesday, the leading edge of a developing storm system was already triggering rain and storms across Iowa and Missouri. This is the first part of the system that will bring rain and storms to central Indiana on Thursday.
We are forecasting rain and a few rumbles of thunder before sunrise Thursday. We will start the day with rain and 40s. Forecast highs are in the range of 55-60 degrees. There will be some dry breaks during the day, but more rain and storms are in the forecast for Thursday evening. This will be the second and stronger part of this storm system and there is a slight risk for severe weather. There is the threat for heavy rain (1-2 inches), flooding and damaging winds.
The rain and threat for storms moves out late Thursday night. Friday and Saturday will be dry, with highs in the 40s. More cold air and snow chances arrive for the Sunday and next week.
