ZIONSVILLE, Ind. -

An internationally renowned Indiana artist is moving her collection to New York City, and selling her Zionsville gallery in the process.

Nancy Noel says Zionsville will always be home but she sees great opportunity to sell her work in the big apple.

It's one of the iconic buildings on Main Street in Zionsville.

"It took me eight months to refurbish the place," explained Nancy Noel of the Sanctuary, an 11,000 square foot 19th century church-turned-gallery and restaurant.

The building is now up for sale.

"It's taken me a while to get to the place where I can say goodbye to that fireplace that I put together piece by piece, and say goodbye to that back bar. Because this has all been an incredible labor of love," said Noel.

"This is the first in the time series...I've been doing the time series for about two years," said Noel, describing one of dozens of her paintings that grace the building's walls. The gallery is also a restaurant and banquet hall.

"There's just not enough hours in the day for me," said Noel, explaining her decision to move to New York and focus on her first love: creating works of art.

"Going to New York is the natural progression for me. I've always pushed the envelope. Always going to push the envelope. Always been very successful with my art and I intend to be when I get to New York," said Noel.

While she will split her time between the Midwest and east coast, the Sanctuary will be sold. The asking price: $1.85 million.

"This building has been an incredible blessing for me...it's really a blessed place," she said.

It's roots in religion, restored for art. Future use unknown.
