It could be much worse. The winter storm along the east coast stretches from Atlanta to Boston and there are numerous flight cancellations at Indianapolis International. This morning, we will start with sunshine and end with increasing clouds. Forecast highs are in the 30s and above freezing for much of central Indiana.
The clouds that arrive later Thursday will be associated with our next chance for snow. Right now, we have light snow in the Valentine's Day forecast, mainly in the early morning. Some of the latest analysis shifts the steadiest snow south.
There is another chance for light snow later Saturday. It will be rain and not snow on Monday, with highs in the 40s. We should have several days in the 40s next week, as we finally make it out of the deep freeze.
